Yahoo! Shopping and PriceGrabber form Partnership
Owners of Yahoo! Stores probably noticed recently when logging into their merchant accounts with Yahoo! that a notice awaited them in their store manager. The notice was informing all Yahoo! Store Merchants, that effective March 11th, 2010, the Product Submit Feature would be discontinued.
The Product Submit Feature allows Yahoo! Merchants to advertise their products on a pay-for-performance basis across Yahoo! Shopping and other relevant areas on Yahoo!. Much like google adwords, this service comes with a cost.
Yahoo! Shopping has decided to partner with PriceGrabber who will now be powering the Product Submit functionality. If you are currently using the Product Submit feature from Yahoo! (Shopping Web Services API), you need to log in to your store manager and follow the directions to avoid an interruption in service. You have a couple of choices with the new PriceGrabber version, but certain deadlines apply.
