Las Vegas Industry Website Review Series: Best and Worst Websites in Sin City’s Industries

The entire Just Professionals staff is eager to start blogging about what it knows best: Las Vegas Web Design. “What better way could their be,” we thought collectively and with the enthusiasm you’d expect from a group of handsome, young professionals, “than to share what we feel are great examples of professional business web design in Las Vegas?!”

To accomplish this, we decided to compose a series of blog posts we will aptly name the Las Vegas Industry Website Review Series. In this series of posts, Just Professionals will be combing through the websites of Las Vegas’s prominent industries and evaluating them on a set of factors we feel make success online.

One caveat to our website review series is this: In our search for the best, we will inevitably encounter websites that we feel are the absolute worst examples of what makes a good website. To be fair, these sites will be included in our reviews too. (Did we mention we are a Las Vegas web design company?) And while we are at it, we will also report on websites we find to be somewhere in between, and worth mentioning.

Las Vegas Website Review Series Details

5 Best, 5 Worst and 5 Worth Mentioning Industry Specific Websites

For each major Las Vegas industry, we will make report on the following:

5 Best Websites in the Industry:
These will be the 5 websites we collectively feel are the best in a particular industry. These 5 websites will be characterized be showing the greatest degree of our “success factors”.
5 Worst Websites in the Industry:
These will be the 5 websites we unanimously feel are the worst in a particular industry. These 5 websites will be characterized by going against everything we feel is socially acceptable on the web.
5 Websites in the Industry Worth Mention:
These will be 5 websites that demonstrate a significant amount of any one or two of our success factors making them worth mention.

Success Factors for Las Vegas Websites

We will be looking at 5 factors we feel make a website successful. Each website will be graded on each factor (you probably guessed it) on a scale of 1 to 5. Here are our success factors:

Overall Appearance
(Color Scheme, Graphic Design, Page Layout, Elements, etc)
Usability
(Navigation, Functionality, Social Media Integration, Site Structure, Browser Compatability, etc)
Search Engine Friendliness
(Use of Flash, Content Quality, Keyword Visibility, etc)
Creativity
(Originality, Innovation, Site Features, etc)
Purpose
(How well the site functions in its intended purpose.)

BESTOFVEGAS.COM was an AWFUL experience. I booked shows a month early. When I got to the shows, the
tickets they booked were for the date of PURCHASE and not the date of the
shows?? The “PENN & TELLER” and “JUBILEE” ticket boxoffice was good for
working with me to get me a seat, but not the seats I paid for. I let
bestofvegas.com know about their mistake and they called me a liar????? What the
Heck? I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know they are
incompetent. ALSO, I saw JUBILEE for full-face value while most of those I
talked to were 2 for 1. WHAT??? That doesn’t sound like a deal to me. DO NOT USE
bestofvegas.
